I’m grateful for this holiday season, the joy it brings me, and the increased focus on our Savior and giving to others! And also for 9 straight years of our tree only being decorated on the top half. 😂 ⠀
⠀
We like to get the tree set up and decorated while our babies/toddlers are sleeping, and then we all anxiously wait to see their faces when they wake up. This year’s reaction did not disappoint as this little one couldn’t stop smiling and giggling as he tried to get a closer look and touch all the things! ⠀
⠀
Life is about seasons, and I‘ve been working on fully embracing those seasons. Someday I’ll have a beautiful Christmas tree decorated just they way I want. 🎄 But I love that this season of life has blessed us with a string of active, curious toddlers, and I know someday we will greatly miss our half-decorated tree and what it meant for our home. ❤️ photo credit: @jasoneggett

I’m so grateful for music! 🎶 We recently received this piano from my parents, and I can’t put into words how much it means to me. ⠀
⠀
My dad traded something he loved to give this piano to my mom when I was just 4 years old. I grew up listening to my mom’s beautiful playing and practiced every day in hopes that I could one day make beautiful music too. 🎹 ⠀
⠀
Over the years I’ve shared so many emotions and feelings through the keys of this piano, and I’m forever grateful for the music education I’ve received! And so grateful now for the excitement of my kids learning, and the music that constantly fills our home ❤️

I’m grateful for the opportunity this year to hold our own Sunday church services in our home!⠀

The GOOD: We are avoiding walking the church halls for two hours with a baby 🤪 AND, more importantly, it’s given my husband and me so many opportunities to share our personal testimonies with our children. There have been so many difficult and frustrating Sundays this year, but also SO MANY incredibly spiritual moments for which I am forever grateful.💛⠀

Today, I’m grateful for our backyard. 🌳 It took us an entire decade to find ourselves in a house with a safe place for our kids to play outside 😅 We’ve been in this house for 5 months, and every single day I have felt so much happiness and gratitude for this little yard we have. ❤️

I’m so grateful for this little family of mine! I always knew I wanted to create a family someday, but I don’t think I ever understood just how much they would all mean to me. I’m so grateful to be able to go through life with them! ❤️

🍁NO-SCREEN NOVEMBER🍁⠀

Hey friends! We’re just getting back into the swing of things after taking an unplanned, but much needed, few weeks away from everything!⠀

Over the last few weeks, the kids were allowed a little too much screen time 😅 so we jumped right back in with a goal for no screens for the month of November, and so far it’s been great! 👌🏻⠀

These two (6 and 3) played with play doh for TWO WHOLE HOURS yesterday! 🤯 and woke up to get right back at it this morning 🙌🏻⠀
⠀
I’m trying to keep a running list of screen-free activities to pull from in time of weakness 😉 so please let me know...⠀

We finished our space science unit 💫 from @thegoodandthebeautiful a couple weeks ago and we had so much fun with it!🪐⠀

This unit is great as a stand-alone unit, but this time around we added in lots of SIMPLE, but fun extras that really enhanced our learning! ✨⠀
